With this in mind, we are now recruiting for a mid-level Web Developer to join our team through this period of growth. Our team sits at the very front end of this Financial Services business creating/designing a range of assets, both digital and graphic based. We produce world class work with a phenomenal reach utilising our companies ‘partnership based’ set up involving a wide variety of industry and household names.
Our Web Developer should have at least 3 years commercial development experience. Working under our Lead Software Engineer and alongside our existing Web Development team, this role will give you the opportunity to work with talented developers, designers and marketeers across all levels of our organisation as well as work with household name brands such as The Telegraph, Aviva, Compare The Market, Royal London and many more.
Responsibilities for the Web Developer:

Working under our Lead Software Engineer and our existing development team, you will be responsible for helping us with the transition from older procedural websites to our new custom framework built using PHP, MySQL, Twig, SCSS & Modular JS. You will also take a hands-on role in the ongoing improvement of our customer facing, lead generation websites with the aim of improving our conversion rates and our customer journey.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need the following:
- Using version control (GIT/SVN)
- Working with NPM, Webpack
- Experience with MySQL / MariaDB
- Experience working with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Always delivering high quality code
- Docker (docker compose)
- HTML coding for emails
- Working with designs created in Figma
- CI / CD Knowledge
- Web accessibility best practices
- Understanding of agile working practices
- A can-do attitude and a desire to succeed
- A creative mind!
- Have good communication skills and ability to work closely with others
- Keen interest in new technologies & innovation
